Top Wedding Songs from 2012

December 19th, 2012 jmartin-admin

This year featured some great wedding songs. Some that made the bride and groom fall in love with everyone all over again, and others that made everyone get out on the dance floor and have a ball.

That’s what I try to accomplish as your North Carolina wedding disc jockey. I try and give the reception that roller coaster of emotions that include love and uncontrollable fun, and it’s all because of the great music that’s played.

So let’s break down the sweetheart songs – ones that made you slow dance with your loved one, and best dance songs of the soon to be over, 2012.

Slow wedding songs of 2012

Colbie Caillat – I Do

A really popular love song by an artist that seems to be getting better every year. She won a Grammy in 2008 with Jason Mraz, and her second album “Breakthrough” was nominated for a Grammy in 2010. She has the talent. Her father, Ken, co-produced Fleetwood Mac’s ever popular “Rumours” and “Tusk” albums.

Lady Antebellum – Just a Kiss

Country pop music group sets the mood with this song. They seem to do it over and over again.

Train – Marry Me

Train’s been making songs for a long time. The name title of the song really says it all.

Hunter Hayes – Wanted

Wild card here, but this young country artist is only going to get better. Song is really beautiful and peaked at No. 1 on the country charts in September.

Party Wedding songs of 2012

PSY – Gangnam Style

What a catchy song that people love to dance to. It kind of reminds me of a great party song from 2011, LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem.

Nikki Minaj – Starships

Not going to get a better pop song than this. People loved putting their hands in the air for this one.

Ne-Yo – Let Me Love You (Until You Love Yourself)

A love song, and a dance song. It was a really great hit for the young couple weddings.

Everyone have a safe New Year and we look forward to 2013!
